The graveyard
Every portfolio shows you the wins. This page is the rest of the iceberg — the projects that died, each stone with its cause of death named honestly. I root-cause dying systems for a living; it would be strange to exempt my own.
(you can close these windows. they're used to it.)
△ legends — beyond explanation
Two repos, one file called a, eight commits per pixel-day.
Together they painted my real name — AURA — into the 2018
contribution graph. 2,036 forged contributions; the graph was the canvas.
cause of death: none. legends do not die.
my oldest surviving artifact on github is my own name, written in manufactured light. the real one is still there, if you scroll my profile back to 2018.
Three commits in four minutes. A branch called Whatever. A pull
request titled "Mano textiniai failai" — my text files —
body: asdsadasdsada. Self-merged, then forgotten so thoroughly
that when an AI exhumed it in 2026, I had nothing.
It was created one month after GitHub launched achievements — which makes "was I poking the badge system?" a hypothesis I can neither confirm nor deny. Four years later I spent a whole day reverse-engineering that same badge system. Maybe this repo was the experiment starting.
cause of death: unknown. cause of life: unknown.
▽ graves — honest deaths
A workmate and I were surviving a job we'd both quietly checked out of by playing Dedalium — a browser game that lived beside our work, where random encounters just happened in the corner of the screen while you did your real job. He said: you make games, make one like this. So I tried. The ideas in this repo are genuinely good. The genre was genuinely not mine.
cause of death: not my type of game — proven by building the good parts first.
its skeleton — a quiet companion that surprises you at your desk — was donated to a newer machine. dead projects are organ donors here.
A troll dll, built mid-meltdown to prove a point to a friend I was making a game with: in a Unity + GitHub workflow, binaries slip past review — nobody can actually check ten dlls, so one of them can be me, shipping behavior you never tested and cheerfully approved. The friendship survived. My patience with Unity did not.
cause of death: made its point.
○ veterans — not dead: discharged
Someone close asked me to make their own gambling impossible — their request, their fight. Full IP-level bans on Android that survive a VPN, hosts bans on desktop. Deployed, worked, retired.
status: mission complete. the most important repo on this page.
I despised the shift key. A programmer needs $ and ;
far more often than 4 — so the top row typed symbols, and the
numpad kept the numbers. It rode shotgun through years of projects.
status: honorably discharged — killed by its author's own os upgrade to linux.
Converted clean SQL into the "" + Dapper house style my day job
insisted on. Months of manual penance, automated into a paste box.
status: served until the convention itself died.
GitHub as a free cloud drive for things I needed at home. *giggle*. We've all done it. Discharged without honors, kept for the honesty.
My apocalypse light novel. First chapters written, loved, quoted in my own household. Dormant because the visions outpace my drawing hand — it wants to be half manga, and chapters are faster than paintings. It waits. It is not a grave.
